Hello! I’m Seher (AKA Seri) and I am a mixed media illustrator based in the North East of England! All my pieces are painted in my gorgeous little home studio.
I’m going to be honest, if you told 15-year-old Seher that she’d be selling scribbly paintings instead of refined realistic illustrations like a ‘real’ artist, I think she’d be mortified. Although I hate the phrase, there’s no way to put it other than I’m a recovering perfectionist!!
Most of my work is inspired by events in my life whether it’s a card I made for my mum or a character developed from what I cooked for lunch - none of it is random!
I went to university to study Fashion Design and Marketing!
My final collection was inspired by my brother’s illustrations (I’m not a thief, he let me!) and it changed the way I illustrate forever.
Instead of being uptight and scared I just went for it and I loved every second that I was painting these big colourful paintings! I try to bring that joy into all of my paintings through colour + texture and of course scribbly scribbles :)
